RMF Practitioner

The only course of its kind with integrated RMF practices to develop greater skills, expand RMF understanding, enhance communications and boost critical thinking to enhance shared enterprise understanding and overall risk awareness.

Focuses  on the actual implementation of RMF with practitioners engaging in scenario based training.   This course includes lessons and tools to aid students studying to take the ISC2 Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) certification.  Major syllabus topics in this 40-hour course include:

  • RMF intent and objectives overview
  • DoD and Intelligence Community specific RMF guidelines
  • Key concepts including assurance, assessment, authorization
  • Security controls; Security laws, policy, and regulations
  • Cybersecurity Policy Regulations and Framework
  • Practical Exercises: Scenario based critical thinking to advance solving techniques
  • Vulnerability scanning tools to include ACAS

Prerequisites: Students should have Security + certification.
